Ford Falcon Dual Gauge Pod

This gauge pod takes a unique approach to the fitment of gauges in your Falcon, by replacing the factory ashtray.

Completely designed and 3D Printed in house, these pods are made from ASA with Carbon Fibre filament, giving the properties of high UV, and temperature resistance, which won't wear or warp in an aussie car under the sun, unlike other products which are often printed in PLA.

Compatibility

These are compatible with most versions of EF, EL, XH, AU1, AU2, and AU3 Falcons.

There are slight variances of width between EF - AU3 ashtrays, so please ensure you have the right option selected before putting through your order.

Product photos are of an AU2/AU3 Gauge pod, which need the extra width added, with the in car photos are shown on an AU1.

Some models of EF / EL Falcons have a drop down cover in front of their ashtrays, these gauge pods are not compatible with them, please see the EF / EL reference image.

Fitment

Installing this gauge pod is as simple as pulling the ashtray out, and pushing the pod in. It should click into place and hold firmly.

Note, sometimes the small metal bracket that holds the ashtray in can become dislodged, so some re-bending may be required. These have been test fitted on multiple AU Falcons successfully, so please contact me if there are any issues with installation.

Many iterations were developed to produce and ideal solution for most gauges, these pods will fit a 52mm gauge, and provide 50mm of depth measured from the base of the bezel.

Key constraints come mostly from the distance of the gauge pod to the automatic shifter in Park position, please refer to the images shown. There is enough room to wrap your hand around the shifter when using conventional gauges, however, any with a particularly tall bezel, such as the AEM X Series, may interfere with your hand in the park position.

Each pod is printed in 2 pieces, then joined with M4 bolts into brass heated inserts, allowing you to disassemble and reassemble the pods, and tidy the gauges/ wiring as needed before installation.

Notes on 3D printed parts

As these are designed to be universal, some gauges may be loose fitting, this will vary with gauges from different manufactures and their tolerances. This is easily addressed with adding some masking tape, or something similar to the outside of your gauges, ensuring a snug fit.

Due to the nature of 3D Printing there will be some evidence of layer lines and surface artefacts. This can be seen in the product images, but can vary from each gauge pod produced.
